Water activities suit for children with musculoskeletal problems ?(Tolkach Elena, Kyiv)
This social project relates to the production of suits for children with musculoskeletal problems.
Nowadays, more than 20% of children in Ukraine have certain defects of the locomotor apparatus.
The suit was developed for the purpose of their rehabilitation by means of water training. It fixes children’s spine in the correct position during stay in water. An improved suit made of neoprene and knitted fabric does not restrain the movements of a child.
The project started as a Master Degree thesis in the University of Technology and Design, it has received several awards at local and international competitions of business plans, as well as related patents in Ukraine. The project has been implemented for 2 years:
- several suits have been developed for custom design
- there are required production capacities
- the project owner is currently searching for the investor
